“What the Folk? America Objects from the UWM Art Collection”

This exhibition examined the complexities of the term “folk art” in regards to the variations of “self-taught”, “outsider”, and “Americana” concepts within art. The exhibition was run in conjunction with a class at UWM that allowed the students to research folk art objects from the UWM collection.

My contributions to this exhibition included design work, object research, installation, and managing the objects throughout the course of the class.
